Coronavirus

SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, was first reported to the WHO on 31 December 2019 after a slew of cases appeared in Wuhan, China. As of 13 March 2021, the virus has been detected in over 119 million people worldwide and has killed over 2.5 million.

Background

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness and its primary transmission route is through person-to-person contact and through direct contact with respiratory droplets generated by an infected person.

Scientists now believe that the virus can remain viable on hard, non-porous surfaces, such as plastic or steel, for approximately three days, and on rough surfaces like cardboard for approximately one day.

Efficacy Testing Against Coronaviridae Viruses

Invisi Smart technology has been successfully tested against human coronaviruses: Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-related coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and the SARS-CoV-2 virus’s spike protein by the University of Cambridge.

Infection prevention technology

We strive for excellence and ensure reliable testing processes of our core technology. Our performance and quality assurance tests meet international qualification criteria and are outsourced to recognised third-party testing facilities.

Invisi Smart Shield™ has undergone robust testing to ensure it will continue to remove pathogens and the build-up of bioburden on treated surfaces.
